Rodel Sound | Drum recording

Here at Rodel Sound we are fully aware that many musicians and bands have very powerful recording facilities at home. However, the majority of these home/project studios are not always fully equipped to record full drum kits.

We start with setting up the drums, either the studio’s Mapex kit or a client’s own. We determine the overall tempo of the song to enable us to build a quick “map” of the structure. Either the drummer can record to a pre recorded guide guitar/bass/piano or another member of the band can plugin and record along side with a click track to keep the groove and structure solid throughout the capture process.

Once the recording process has been completed the band can either have the drums mixed professionally at the studio or they can choose to take the raw, un processed audio files with them.

On completion you will receive a data DVD containing the midi “map” and all the audio files in line with each other. This will ensure an effortless transfer of what was captured here at the studio to the process of loading the files into your own studio setup ready for further production.
